Abstract

This article argues for the development of a training module for the practice of automation in the laboratory of the Industrial Electrotechnology classroom of the Pampas Tayacaja Institute; whose purpose is that the same module conceived for learning with these devices is developed in a single place, merging both electrical and electronic devices, to practice with automation, in each required case, allowing them to be carried out in a more efficient and safe way; where a methodological procedure focused on programming programmable logic controllers (PLC) was used and the test of the effectiveness of the module consisted of comparing the technical and economic part with the automation system used in a conventional way, and the automation system with the PLC. The results reflect that the practice module oriented in the development of this article facilitates the assembly time (installation time) and start-up, increasing the useful life of the component and in itself a significant learning of the students.
